ETDA Updates ETDA Sandbox: House Opening, Idea Sharing, Innovation Building to Lead Digital Life

ETDA (Electronic Transactions Development Agency) is holding a virtual event on “The Open ETDA Sandbox: House Opening, Idea Sharing, Innovation Building to Lead Digital Life”, presented online at ETDA Live this 21 September between 10.00-12.00 AM. During the event, the agency under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, leading its role as promoter and supporter of electronic transaction in Thailand, updates its sandbox program that will assist in developing innovations for governmental bodies and businesses.
 
Dr Chaichana Mitrpant, executive director of ETDA, said the Digital Service Sandbox program is now open to those who desire to participate in testing innovations and technologies, especially online transaction providers, both governmental and commercial, start-ups included.
 
To promote innovative technologies, the scheme vow to provide the necessary environment where participants can test their new services to observe their efficiency. He believes that the project will encourage digital service providers to create new business models that are effective, reliable, and easily accessible to the public.
 
The eligible organization to participate in the program requires these elements:

1. Must be a provider of services that practice online transactions in any part of its service,
2. Plan to apply innovation or technologies that haven’t been applied before, and
3. Willing to conduct testing in a co-creation project, each party will share ideas, develop implementation with other agencies concerned, and add other elements that might be beneficial to the proprietor of the innovation and entrepreneurs who will utilize it.

 
During each project, ETDA will play its role as a facilitator who consults the proprietor of the innovation. Therefore, “The Open ETDA Sandbox: House Opening, Idea Sharing, Innovation Building to Lead Digital Life” talk panel is a space to answer all questioning questions, moderated by Oranuch Lerdsuwankij (CEO and Co-Founder of Techsauce Media), and participated by special speakers: Dr Chaichana Mitrpant , Tipsuda Thavaramara (Member of the Supervisory Board of ETDA) and Wijitleka Marome (Deputy Director, Financial Technology Department, Bank of Thailand.) These guests will speak on the existing and future of the ETDA Sandbox, its openness to explore new use cases, and its opportunity to connect regulators to join the expecting co-sandbox in the future. 
 
The event also introduces participants to explore shared experiences from entrepreneurs who have participated in the ETDA Sandbox scheme through the Tech talk on various topics.

• Woraphot Tharasiriskul from J Ventures company Limited and a representative from KnightsBridge’s juristic person are presenting the alternative online meeting service that will assist in verifying and identifying user’s identification when voting.
• Boonsun Prasitsumrit, chief executive officer of National Digital ID Co., Ltd. (NDID), is introducing innovation on digital verification and identification for the digital lending business sector that will lead to the future data-sharing economy.  
• Thai Advanced Innovation's Rattika Panviset shows innovation on registering for satellite internet service among users, installers, and dealers adopting electronic documentation according to digital laws.
